Zebracat makes it incredibly easy to turn your audio recordings into dynamic videos. With the Audio to Video feature, all you need is an audio file—Zebracat will automatically generate matching visuals, captions, and a full video experience that brings your words to life.
Step-by-step: How to create a video from audio:

Step 1: Go to the Zebracat Homepage

Visit studio.zebracat.ai and sign up or log in to your account.
After logging in, you’ll land on the homepage. On the left-hand panel, click the purple “+ Create Video” button.

On the left-hand side, you'll see a section labeled "Select a Video Type." This is where you choose how you want your visuals to be structured.
You can pick from six formats:
  • Moving AI Images (for AI-generated animated scenes)
  • AI Avatar + AI Image (for avatars over AI backgrounds)
  • AI Video (New) (fully AI-generated clips based on your script/audio)
  • Stock Footage Video (for real footage from a licensed library)
  • AI Avatar (avatar alone narrating the audio)
  • AI Avatar + Stock Video (avatar layered onto real footage)
Choose the one that best fits your content. For example, if you're narrating a story or podcast, Moving AI Images or AI Avatar may work best.
Once selected, choose a visual style on the right (e.g., Realistic, Cinematography, 3D Animation).
Click the purple “Next Step” button to continue.

Step 3: Configure Your Video

You’re now in the Config tab, where you set up your content settings.

On the left-hand panel, click Audio Input under the "Select Input Type" section. This tells Zebracat that your source content is an audio file.
1. Upload Your Audio
You’ll see a designated upload box.
You can either:
  • Click to upload an audio file from your device, or
  • Drag and drop your file into the upload area.
Supported formats include .mp3, .wav, .m4a, aac, aiff, alac, flac, ogg, opus, wma, amr, mka.
Once uploaded, you’ll see a box displaying your file’s name and duration.

💡 Note: Your audio file must contain clear spoken voice so Zebracat can extract and generate text from it. Music-only or silent files won't work.
Now, the remaining steps will look just like the other workflows—prompt to video, script to video, and URL to video.

2. Set Story Character Details (Optional)
In this section, you can define a consistent visual character that appears throughout your video. This is especially useful when you want to maintain a strong narrative identity or visual storytelling element.
Where to Find It?
Once you’re in the Config tab (after selecting your video type and prompt input), scroll down until you see the section labeled “Story Character Details.”
It is directly beneath the “Example Prompts” section and just above the “Select Video Ratio” settings.
What Are Story Characters?
Story characters are recurring visual figures used to represent the subject or narrator in your video. By assigning a character, you ensure the AI keeps a consistent visual appearance across all scenes—perfect for maintaining brand identity or storytelling flow.

Choosing a Story Character
You’ll see three tabs under the “Select your video character” heading:
⭐Recent
  • This tab shows characters you've used in recent videos.
  • To select one, simply click the thumbnail (e.g., a teddy bear, a fairy tale rabbit, or a frog eating a snake).
  • Use the pencil icon to rename the character for internal clarity.
⭐Suggested by AI
  • This is an intelligent recommendation based on your prompt or theme.
  • You’ll see a description (e.g., “A sophisticated woman with short blonde hair and striking blue eyes”) alongside a visual preview.
  • Click on the suggestion to apply it as your character.
⭐Create Character
  • Want a custom character that fully matches your story?
  • Click the “Create Character” tab.
  • Fill in the fields:
    • Character Name: Choose a descriptive name to identify the character.
    • Character Description: Describe how you want the character to look. Example: “A girl with red curly hair, tall, blue eyes, wearing a green jacket.”
  • Once you're done, click “Preview Character” to see what the AI generates for you.
  • You can edit and regenerate until you're happy, then apply it to your story.
💡Tip: Toggle the “Character Consistency” switch ON (top-right corner of this section) to make sure the same character is used across all scenes. This keeps your video visually coherent and professionally aligned.

    • 9:16 – Best for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts
